DETERMINATION OF pH & EC IN SOIL
Procedure:
- Take 20 gm of Soil Sample into 100 ml of Beaker
- Add 40 ml of Distilled Water
- Shake for 30 Minutes
- Take Reading by pH Meter
- For Electric Conductivity (EC) Determination: After getting pH reading, sample is allow to stand until clear supernatant liquid is obtained or stand for over night and then take reading by EC meter.
Note :- Before each determination, the electrode must be washed with distilled water and dried with the help of a piece of tissue paper.
