REAGENT PREPERATION FOR
POTASSIUM
1.0 N Potassium Dichromate:
Dissolve 77.08 gm of Ammonium
Acetate in 500 ml of D.W. and makeup Volume 1.0 Lts. Adjust the pH to 7.0 with
Glacial acetic acid or Ammonium Solution.
Standard K Solutions:
Prepare 1000 mg L-1 K
solution by dissolving 1.909 gm of dried (in oven) KCl salt per liter solution.
Dilute volume of this a solution to get 100 ml working standards containing 10,
15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 mg KL-1. The working standards should be prepared in
medium of extraction.
